Preseason Updates

Season 3 is finally over, but Riot isn't resetting the ranks and provisionals for ranked player just yet. Instead they have introduced a preseason to bridge the gap between finish of season 3 and start of season 4. Playing ranked this preseason won't necessarily increase your tier for ranked but it will give Riot an idea of your skill level. This will help Riot with placement during provisional matches so that bronze players aren't competing against diamond players. I personally think it is a great way to transition from season to season. For more information on the preseason click here.
